  Have you ever forgotten your baby was in the car?

  what's up with this wave of people forgetting their babies are in the car?

  i'm a certifiable dingbat but i never forgot my kids were in the car.

  if i ever did, i can't see it happening for more than a few minutes and then running back to the car to get them.

  I think that nine year olds are alright for 1/2 hour or so home alone if their maturity is at nine years of age. That is the age my parents left me alone for the first time. Actually, they were not that smart to do that because I needed to stay home from the meeting that night for being sick. I was running a fever from the flu when they came back home and discovered me on the couch bundled up in blankets trying to keep warm. It surprized them how sick I became while they were gone, but flu is fast and I wasn't sick sick until 1/2 way into the meeting.

  I have such a habit of looking back to make sure the kids are belted in that I don't understand how a parent could forget the kid was in the car. When the baby is with me, my mind is in mommy mode and the baby becomes an extension of myself. How could I leave a part of myself behind? We did forget my daughter at the hall one time when she was three because we thought my dad was going to take her with him, but it was a safe environment, not like a boiling car. That made it a little different, although that was almost as inexcusable.

  my advice to any victim of jw's that would complain about sisters wearing these pretty dresses would be to take a pair of scissors with them to the hall and cut the strings off right in front of the complainers and ask if that is better.

  I said spaghetti straps, not low cut. I've seen very modest dresses with the straps. What's with a little shoulder, anyway? Might as well tape up our boobs, too, huh? It's all because of repressed sexuality that the guys are not used to these normal dresses. They are constantly reminded that they are sexy. Of course they will get hards on.

  Cold Weather Dress Code for Witnesses

  with the advent of cooler weather (at least in canada and the northern us), one might think of how the witnesses are going to cope.

  for certain, dress codes are going to have different effects now than they did when it was broiling hot.. men are going to be more comfortable now.

  cooler weather means that the coat is not going to create as much heat stroke risk as it did in the heat of mid summer.

  I cannot begin to say how much I HATE DRESSES And, I refuse to wear them now that I'm out. When I get a job in a professional field, I will wear nice pantsuits. I like dress jackets. I have always been a bit of a cross dresser: flannel shirts, tshirts, blue jeans (not skinny just comfortable), sweat shirts, guy type jackets and work boots worn to school. So comfortable and practical!

  I am terribly sorry for what you had to go through with your son, but where the HELL did he get the money to pay for pain killers and drugs and alcohol at age 13 and 14???!!! I think money deprivation might have been one avenue to explore along with everything you did to help him. You sound like a very caring parent. I just can't imagine how a 13/14 year old gets that kind of money. It takes an incredible amount plus a parent to take him to the dr. to get prescription meds. Just confused on that point. Never judging anyone.
